We pride ourselves on our family ethos and we put great importance on creating a home school partnership.
At Senacre Wood, we deepen learning through first hand, challenging and relevant experiences. Our ambitious, enquiry-focused curriculum promotes our core school values. We believe that all pupils deserve the opportunity to acquire and retain key knowledge through learning experiences that lead to consistently high levels of pupil engagement and achievement.
At Senacre Wood we also put great importance into the Arts. The children have access to high quality specialist provision in these subjects. The children’s art lessons take place in our own dedicated studio, where the children have the opportunity to enter numerous art competitions. Our school has been featured in an article in The Arts Council magazine and we have been asked to be a Champion School for Animate Arts. Through music lessons, the children have an opportunity to learn a range of instruments across the school, with opportunities to perform in front of the whole school.
From Year 1, each child has an opportunity to be part of Forest School. We have our own Specialist Forest School leader, who promotes fun and learning in the woods! Children take ownership and responsibility of their outdoor area. Forest School is widely recognised as an excellent opportunity for children to develop confidence through hands-on learning.
We are very proud of the resilience of our children. We want our children to leave in Year 6, academically ready for secondary school but just as important for them to be well rounded pupils, which is why we believe in enriching children's experiences to give them valuable life skills to help them succeed later in life.
We look forward to welcoming you to our kind and caring school, where our dedicated staff aim to provide the best education for all.
