Absence

If your child is absent from school for any reason, it is essential that you let us know the reason by telephone. This needs to be followed by written confirmation, in the form of a short note, on your child’s return to school.

All non-emergency medical appointments should be made out of school time. No child will be allowed to leave school premises, during the school day, unless accompanied by a responsible adult. This rule is made to ensure your child’s safety.

The school has to keep a record of authorised and unauthorised absences.

Holidays should be taken when the school is closed in order to maintain your child’s educational progress.
